It is with great joy that Jason and I announce the birth of our daughter, Maxine Marin Nadal, and it is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of her twin sister, Lona Lucia Nadal. The girls were delivered on May 1st. Maxine is healthy and strong and is now with us at home.
We are planning a memorial service to honor our beloved daughter Lona on Saturday, May 9th, at the Graham Visitor's Center in the Arboretum. The service will be held at 6 PM and it is open to all of our family and friends. We hope you can attend. Please share the service information with anyone we may have missed on this message.
In lieu of flowers, we are setting up a memorial fund to honor Lona's memory by donation of a bench, or the planting of a garden or tree at the Arboretum. We will have more information about this available at thenadalfamily.bogspot.com in the coming days. Our blog will also be the source for future updates and photos of Maxine as we begin this new chapter of our lives with her.
Thanks to all of you for sharing in our joy and our sorrow, and for the overwhelming love and support you have given us. Jason and I feel truly blessed.
